More than $1.5 billion in public repair and renovation work is expected to be procured under the Job Order Contract during 2012.
Ohio is Seeking Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) Contractors in Skilled Trades for Job Order Contracts.
Representatives from the Ohio Department of Development, Ohio Department of Administrative Services, and the Gordian Group will conduct five outreach sessions throughout Ohio to identify potential MBE and EDGE contractors and subcontractors in the skilled trades to accomplish small- to medium-sized alterations, renovations, and light construction projects. In addition, the Job Order Contract process will be explained. Trades such as demolition, hauling, concrete, paving, landscaping, flooring, brick, rough-in and finish carpentry, painting, glazing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work will be included.
